Sometimes traumatic events and/or difficult circumstances lead to difficulties and block one’s progress in life. I help people discover and develop their strengths to get more out of life. I provide a caring, supportive and confidential environment to explore new ways of being and relating. I have extensive experience in addictions treatment and family concerns related to addictions.
I have completed 96 hours of advanced training in trauma treatment and recovery. Specifically I treat trauma survivors using a model called Somatic Experiencing. This model, developed by Peter Levine, PhD, recognizes and utilizes the natural trauma response and assists individuals get past places of stuckness. Somatic Experiencing is an effective therapy for overcoming the cumulative effects of stress and trauma.
